(Assumes Client Has Docs & Fills Out Documents Efficiently) 1-2 Hrs.- Review, Client Meeting, Revisions, Sign & File (Assumes no Complex Surprises Arise - Biz. Book Issues, Missing Info, Extra Mtgs Needed) Typical Biz. Returns: $500-$1500 1-4 hrs.- Entry of Biz. P&L and Balance Report (If books/records are already done correctly) 1-2 Hrs.- Review Biz. Return per IRS req., cover results & tax payments to be made with client, sign and transmit. 2-10 Hrs.- Compile a years worth of biz. books if not done correctly. 2-10 Hrs.- Fix Payroll if not done correctly. 2-10 Hrs.- Fix depreciation if not available/done correctly. 2-10 Hrs.- Fix owners basis and schedule L as required by IRS if past preparers did not track or do correctly.
Please note: We do not offer fixed-fee representation for new clients. Each tax situation is unique, and the time required to accurately prepare and review a new client's return can vary significantly. To ensure we provide thorough and personalized service, we bill based on the actual time and complexity involved.
Good Faith Deposit: Similar to a security deposit, this money is usually non-refundable and is held indefinitely. It is only applied to the final invoice if:
1. Client has no unpaid invoices &
2. ​Client signs a waiver stating we completed the engagement in full.
For example, if there are back tax returns not filed, an up-front deposit is often requested before we can begin.
Engagement Agreement(s): The Document(s) signed by a Client where the Firm's type of work (scope of duties) and responsibilities are agreed upon when the Firm is Accepting a Client's work.
